Castlepollard Community College opened its doors to the public in 1937 in a four-teacher school in the centre of the town. Its main aim was to serve the educational needs of the students from the local rural community.

Today, the new school which opened in 2004, is located on the approach to Castlepollard and, with the Hill of Kinturk in the background, it is a significant presence in the local landscape. The School boasts ‘state of the art’ facilities and provides a broad subject base at ordinary and higher level in all subjects.

It is our aim to provide opportunities for students of all abilities to achieve the highest standards. In addition, we strive to work with you to provide a holistic education for your children which will equip them for the years ahead in all aspects of their life. We believe that our close liaison with local support agencies, local industry and the wider community is also an integral part of the education we provide at Castlepollard Community College.

The Board of Management and the Staff welcome students from the local Primary Schools. Our core values underpin the work that we do at the school. These include a high expectation of personal achievement and success; commitment to good order and discipline; respect for our students and staff and a high level of safety and support for our students. We are confident, that with your support and the support of the community of Castlepollard that your son or daughter will achieve his or her potential both academically and socially and have a happy and memorable experience at Castlepollard Community College.
