Principal’s Address

Thank you for taking the time to visit our newly designed website.  I am proud to say that the website has been designed by the Parents’ Association of Castlepollard Community College.

Castlepollard Community College is a small co-educational school with a multi-denominational ethos.  The Campus which was opened in 2005 boasts the most modern of facilities and is built on a green field site with a full size football pitch and basketball and tennis courts to the rear of the building.

Like many schools, we have had many changes in Personnel this year with Mr McGrath replacing Ms McCormack as Deputy Principal and new teachers appointed to positions in Home Economics, Career Guidance, English, History, Irish, French, Maths, Science, Metalwork and Engineering.

While the enrolment at Castlepollard Community College has been increasing dramatically, we will always remain a ‘small’ school.  This allows us to provide a ‘personalised’ service to our students.  All teachers and management know all of the students very well. This fosters close relationships between teachers and students which facilitates excellent teaching and learning and helps students to settle in quickly.

The involvement of parents and the Community in our school and in our extra-curricular activities is testament to the close relationship we have with both of these groups.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website, if you do not find what you are looking for, please feel free to telephone or visit us.
