Awards and Recognitions

Our Awards and Recognitions page celebrates the outstanding achievements, dedication and success of both our current students and past pupils. At Castlepollard Community College, we take great pride in recognising excellence across academic, sporting, creative and community areas, while also celebrating the many pathways our students take after leaving school.

Our Student of the Year for 2025/2026, Virginia Carr, is recognised for her exceptional contribution to school life, leadership, character and dedication throughout her time in Castlepollard Community College. This prestigious award reflects the values of care, community, respect and excellence which are at the heart of our school.

The page also features our Roll of Honour, celebrating students and teams who have achieved success at local, provincial and national level across a variety of activities and competitions. Our Alumni Wall highlights the journeys and achievements of past pupils, showcasing the wide range of careers, universities, apprenticeships and opportunities pursued by our graduates after leaving Castlepollard Community College.

We are also incredibly proud of the many scholarships and awards achieved by our students and past pupils. Recent successes include Laura Delaney being awarded the prestigious Ad Astra Scholarship in UCD in recognition of her academic excellence and dedication. Chloe Wong was awarded two scholarships from UCD, reflecting her outstanding hard work and achievement throughout her education.

Past pupil Dorian McDonald also received a Sports Scholarship for Soccer and is currently studying Sports Science in TUS while continuing to play with Mullingar Athletic. We are equally proud of past student Sinéad Clarke, who received the DCU INTRA Student Work Placement Award in recognition of her exceptional performance and professionalism during her university placement.

These achievements are a testament to the talent, ambition and determination of our students and reflect the strong culture of support, encouragement and opportunity within our school community.
